James G. Honsinger

Brunswick- James G. Honsinger, 63, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Albany Medical Center.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late James Honsinger and Mary Barker and loving husband to Mary Beth Krieg Honsinger.

James worked as a Senior Clerk in the Department of Financial Services for the State of New York.

James enjoyed watching television, he was an avid Boston Redbox’s and New York Giants fan, Jim was a longtime St. Augustine’s Men’s Bowling League bowler at Hilltop Bowling, he loved his faithful canine companion Chewy and his feline companions Libby and Spock but  most of all he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Mary Beth, James is survived by his children, James Honsinger of Troy and Jamie Honsinger Cooper (Don) of Kansas, his granddaughter Astrid Cooper,  his sister Donna Meuritt (James) of Melbourne, FL, and his sister in-law Connie Winaroski, and Ann Marie Krieg (Christine Budzinski), also survived by several nieces and nephews.

James is predeceased by his step brother John Winaroski.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY 12198. Funeral Services will be Friday October 19, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eagle Mills Cemetery.
