Albert W. Van Cleef went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Born in Seneca Falls, New York, Albert lived a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. He was a
beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, cherished for his
kind heart and sharp sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day.
Albert proudly served his country as a member of both the United States Marine Corps and the
United States Air Force. His dedication to service was a testament to his strength, commitment,
and love for his nation.
Albert is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; his brother, Lester; his sister, Hazel; his seven
children, Allen, Andy, Rebecca, Sara, Rachael, Christina, and Jonathan; his 14 grandchildren;
and his 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Van Cleef; his
father, Elwood Van Cleef; his stepfather, Charles Hooper; and his brother, Alfred Van Cleef.
Albert’s warmth, humor, and zest for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, leaving a
legacy of love, service, and joy that spans generations.
A celebration of Albert’s life will be held in the spring; details will be shared at a later date.
