Carl W. Smyers

Carl W. Smyers, 89 passed away on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in the presence his loving wife.

Born in Globe, Arizona, he was the son to the late Troy Smyers and Hazel Smyers and the loving husband to Rose Mary Flannery Smyers.

Carl served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958.

He was a self-employed landscaper for many years, he also worked for Fadigan Nursery in Latham, Carl was always willing to help family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Rose Mary, his children Kenneth Smyers, Kenda Butterfield and Dean Smyers, his grandchildren Anthony Smyers, Christopher Delaney and Sam Butterfield.

In addition to his mother and father, Carl was predeceased by his son Michael Smyers and his brothers Daniel Smyers and Jerry Smyers.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am all at St. Michael’s Church 175 Williams Road all on Wednesday January 29, 2025 Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
