Carol Ann (Canam) Coonradt

Wynantskill-Carol Ann (Canam) Coonradt, 74 passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024 at her home with her daughter by her side.

She was born at the St. Joseph’s maternity Hospital to the late Robert Harold Canam and Margaret Gauvin Canam, she was the loving wife to the late Stephen Coonradt for fifty years until his passing this past June.                                                                                                                                                   

Carol worked for the New York State Attorney General’s Office for over 41 years, she was a life member of the Defreestville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Wynantskill Seniors and the Red Hat Society. Carol enjoyed gardening, summers at the pool and all the memories made on her numerous trips to Disney. Nothing meant more to Carol than spending time with family and friends.                 

Carol is survived by her daughter Kelly (Greg) Coonradt-Piche, stepson Donald (Emily) Coonradt, granddaughter Aubrey, her sister Kathy (Matt Heim) Durivage, goddaughter Courtney (Ryan) Kendrick, sister-in-law Kathryn (Stewart)Clements also survived by several nieces and nephews and close friends who were like family. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Canam.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice for their care and concern. They would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Donna Clark for her unwavering support and the extraordinary care she provided to Carol.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday April 1, 2024 at Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY.
