Caroline J. (Jirgens) Doyle

Caroline J. Doyle died unexpectedly, in a car accident, on December 10, 2018, her 75th birthday.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Aurelia Jirgens. She raised three daughters and earned two college degrees, including an MBA in finance, while working full time. She worked on Wall Street for many years, then moved into higher education and retired from William Patterson University in Wayne, NJ. Upon retirement, she moved to her beloved Washington County nature preserve, which her family will carry on in honor of her wishes.

She is survived by her daughters, Lorene Doyle (Alan Moorse) of Wynantskill, NY; Karen Doyle (Bennett Goldberg) of Cold Springs, NY; and Dana Doyle (Glen Gollrad) of Topsfield, MA; as well as three grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. Those wishing to remember Caroline in a special way are asked to send memorial donations to their local land or nature conservancy, or the Sierra Club at https://www.sierraclu.org/ways-to-give.
