Catherine Harriet (Delair) Karpiak

Catherine Harriet Karpiak went to be with the Lord on May 4 th , 2020 in
Mesquite, Texas at the age of 88. Though she was in quarantine, the
family would like to thank the staff at Christian Care Center for their
compassionate care of Catherine.
Catherine, better known to her siblings as “Sis”, was born at home, in
Wynantskill, New York on September 27 th , 1931 to the late William and
Catherine Delair.
She was a Christian who attended weekly services at Brookdale Senior
Living’s Activity Center. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her
family and was a generous and loyal friend. She never knew a stranger,
and showed compassion and love to every person she met. She will be
missed by all who knew her.
Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years,
David Daniel, and her oldest son David Daniel Jr. Catherine is survived
by her sons William, Walter, Michael and his wife Sally; David Jr’s wife
Kathy; granddaughters Jaclyn, Jessica, and Christine. Sister Ann and
husband Jack Van Wie, brothers Bill Delair and wife Sandy, Milton
Delair and his wife Pat. She is also survived by Sister-In-laws
Stephanie Karmazyn and Anna Karpiak. Catherine had numerous nieces
and nephews as well.
Catherine’s life was a blessing and left our hearts full of cherished
memories. She will be buried next to her husband David at Evergreen
Cemetery in Wynantskill, New York.

Wynantskill, N.Y. on Wed, May 13 at 1 p.m.
