Cecile M. (Johndro) Stevens

Cecile Stevens, 78 passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn surrounded by her loving family.

Cecile was born in Caribou, Maine, she was one of sixteen children and the daughter to the late Adolph Johndro and Annie Page Johndro.

Cecile enjoyed playing volleyball, dancing, cooking and baking, doing word find, reading and looking at cards and photos that were sent to her, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

A loving mother who always put her family first, she was always surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandson. With a life history of taking care of others in the health care field, she worked for Eddy Visiting Nurses until her retirement at age 70.

Cecile is survived by her cherished children Lucille (Richard) Stufflebeam of Wynantskill, Jeannie (Paul) Scott of Florida and Christopher (Marcy) Stevens of Kentucky, her grandchildren Jennifer (Josh) Micklas, Brandon Scott, Austin, Cole, Ashleigh, Patrick, Elizabeth, Aaron, Mary, Grace Stevens, her great grandson Calvin Micklas.

In addition to her mother and father, Cecile was predeceased by her daughter Marie Perry, her granddaughter Madison DeGregorio and her former husband John F. Stevens.

Family and friends are invited and may visit from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday February 5, 2023 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday February 6, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church 310 Spring Avenue with Reverend John Yanas, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.
