Christopher J. Minnitti, 54, of Schenectady was born in Schenectady on April 4, 1970 and is the son of the late John Anthony and Anna Mae (Cox) Minnitti.
Christopher is survived by his loving partner of 16 years, Jacki Cade, his sister, Toni Ann Minnitti (Cindy) of Port Charlotte, Florida, also by his aunt and godmother Phyllis M (Cox) Raymond, uncle George Cox (Lucy). Christopher is survived by several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Christopher is also survived by Jacki’s mom Angie Marx, and two grandchildren Tyrell Smith and Franki “Peaches” Smith.
Besides his parents Christopher is predeceased by his uncle Michael Raymond.
During his lifetime, Christopher graduated from the former Linton High School, Class of 1989. He worked in several departments for the City of Schenectady for many years.
Chris was an avid sports fan; ESPN was his favorite station. A big fan of the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Rams, Christopher never missed a game. Through the years Christopher had several friends, some he even called family.
Thank you for all that have reached out to us during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank Dr. Lance Sullenburger and Jessica Falco for the numerous hours, days, months spent with Chris to help overcome his illness. We thank the staff of Albany Medical Center for the attention and kindness they showed to Chris and his family, especially his last days.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call in Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 1803 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309 on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon with burial to follow in the family plot of St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
