Constance "Connie" (Tombelleo) King

Jacksonville, Fl.-Constance “Connie” (Tombelleo) King, 95 formerly of Troy, passed away on November 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter to the late Gioconda Lombardi Tombelleo and Giuseppe Tombelleo.

Connie retired from Child’s Hospital as a Nursing Assistant, she also was the co-owner with her husband, the late Harry King of King’s Beach and King’s Beach Bar at Snyder’s Lake, Troy. You would often find Connie working days on end at the concession stand attending to the many beach goers gathering from the capital district. Through the years, Connie served as the family caregiver often helping take care of her brothers and sisters as they fell ill. In her later years Connie was a resident of Rouse Senior Living. She enjoyed puzzles and chatting with the other residents; you would always find Connie’s door open with a hot pot of coffee waiting for visitors, no matter the hour.

She is survived by her children Harry King, Jr., Patricia (William) Comstock and Geraldine (Carmen) Parese, her grandchildren Gina (John) Moscatello, Audra (Michael) McCullers, Crystal (Rustam) Yapparov, Johnathan (Cheyenne) King and Steven (Deidra) King, her sister Geraldine (Joseph) DiNardo, her many beloved great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, also survived by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to her mother, father and husband Harry, Connie was predeceased by her grandson Kenneth Higgins, her granddaughter Joelle Higgins, her siblings Elizabeth (Charles) Motta, Angeline (Anthony) LaFache, Mary (Nick) Consola, Nicholas (Philomena) Thomas, Anthony (Helen) Thomas, Frank (Margaret) Thomas, James Thomas and Ralph Thomas.  

Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday November 20, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a funeral mass at 1:00 pm all at St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake. Memorial donations in memory of Connie may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O.
