Lansingburgh-Denise Claire Wagar “Neicie” 71 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 12, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Lansingburgh to George W. (Pat) Denis and Claire T. Gushue Denis on March 22, 1950. Denise was predeceased by her husbands Frank Caridi and Dale Wagar.
She attended St. Augustine’s Academy and Catholic Central High School in the Burgh. She was employed at Rensselaer County Department of Social Services for over 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Parish.
Denise loved to arrange parties and gatherings and she was a pro at it. She was involved in planning the Rensselaer County annual picnics, worked with UNICEF, Catholic Central High School phone-a-thons and class reunions. “Go Crusaders”
If she was not shopping or “planning something” she could be found at the family camp on Cossayuna Lake, where family and friends gathered.
On any given day, you would find her in the boat with one of her best friends and fishing buddy Grace, reeling them in. They loved to fish.
She enjoyed being with her friends from school and her co workers from Rensselaer County, better known as “HER GIRLS”.
They shared such great relationships. Oh, the memories.
Her favorite TV shows were Golden Girls, Mountain Men, and watching Dancing with The Stars with Judy and the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys with Sherry.
Denise had one other love “DANCING”, she loved to do the Jitterbug with her sister, while listening to our Johnny O’s music.
“AND THEY DANCED”
