Donna J. (Walker) Bessette

Troy-Donna J. Bessette, 79 passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital. Born and raised in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Walker and Mildred Daus Walker and the loving wife to Ronald X. Bessette.

Donna retired from the Troy Central School District.  

In addition to her husband Ronald, she is survived by her children Tammy (Don) Casterlin of Garner, NC, Ronald (Lisa) Bessette, Jr. of Latham and Sandra (Dave) Beaulac of Schaghticoke, her grandchildren David (Ashley) Beaulac, II, Chelsea Casterlin, Brianna Bessette, Alexander Beaulac and Jonathan Bessette, her siblings Mildred (Pete) Adams, Beverly Walker, Sandra (William) Gresser and Patricia (late Ronald) Taylor, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her siblings Louis (late Theresa) Walker, Barbara (late Robert) Thibault, Elaine Reichard.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday February 10, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY 12198. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home with Deacon Chuck Wojton officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. Please note that social distancing, masks and occupancy limitations in the funeral home are required.
