Obituary

Doreen Leonardo, 79, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by loving family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Doreen was the daughter of the late Clayton Hunter and Genevieve Szymczak. She grew up in the town of New Milford, Pennsylvania with her brother and sister.

She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Leonardo and mother to the late Michael Wilding.

Doreen was educated as a secretary and worked at Mountainview School District. She retired peacefully with her husband in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Doreen enjoyed spending time with family and watching golf.

She is survived by her sister Helen Bloomer and brother James (Linda) Hunter, as well as her niece Jenna and nephew Hunter Bloomer who all loved her dearly. She was a kind and strong woman who will be missed greatly.
