Dorothy “Dottie” Amy Ruggiero, 90, of Poestenkill passed away on November 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Dottie was born in Henniker, NH to the late Harold Seabury and Nora O’Connor Seabury. Dottie was the loving wife to the late Donald Ruggiero who passed in 2011. Dottie graduated from Averill Park High School and later worked as a Pharmacy Technician at John L. Thompson Sons & Co. in Troy, NY.
Dottie enjoyed spending time traveling with family and friends by taking numerous cruises and bus trips throughout the years. She enjoyed volunteering and attending many school activities with her children and grandchildren, as well as events and organizations with St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill. Dottie was a lifelong resident of Wynantskill for over 50 years and then spent the last seven years of her life living with her family in Poestenkill. Most recently, Dottie enjoyed attending meetings with the Poestenkill and Wynantskill Senior clubs. She also enjoyed spending time with her caring canine companion Truman.
Dottie is survived by her three children Marie (Ronald) Park, Carla (John) Nolan, and Phillip (Janet) Ruggiero and two grandchildren Ryan Nolan and Lauren Nolan. Dottie is also survived by her siblings Mary McGrath and James (Shirley) Seabury along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dottie is predeceased to her infant child Donna Ruggiero and siblings John Seabury and Joseph Seabury.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow calling hours at 11:00 AM at the Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY 12198. Internment will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy, NY.
