Edward John Houser, Sr

Edward John Houser, Sr, 78 passed away on January 16, 2025.

Born in Troy, he was the son to the late Frederick Houser and Margaret Yetto Houser and the loving husband to the late Patricia Houser. Edward graduated from Troy High School, he served in the United States Marine Corp from 1966 to 1968 and the Marine Corp Reserve from 1968 to 1972.

Edward was a carpet installer for Careful Carpets and American Flooring.

He was a life member and past chief for the Mountain View Volunteer Fire Company in Brunswick.

He was an avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan.

Edward is survived by his children John Houser and Alicia Houser, his grandchildren Jordan Jones, Andrew Houser and Ashley Houser, his great grandchildren Amelia, Vivian and Azariah.

In addition to his mother, father and wife Patricia, he was predeceased by his brother Frederick Houser and sister-in-law Marion Houser.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday

January 20, 2025 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Jean’s Cemetery, Troy.
