Elaine Beehm Obituary

Poestenkill-Elaine Beehm, 88 passed away on October 1, 2022 at the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Center.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter to the late Joseph Jolivette and Catherine St. Onge Jolivette and the loving wife to the late Joseph J. Beehm, Jr, he died June 11, 2022.

Elaine was a secretary for the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) in Troy for many years.

She loved to cook, crocheting, she cherished her cat “Nikki”, she loved her family and always enjoyed family outings.

She is survived by her daughters Mariam (Reinaldo) Santana of Cropseyville and Alane (Scott) Kempter of Schroon Lake, her grandchildren Leigh (Ray) Hemingway, Juan Santana and Elizabeth Kempter, her great grandchildren Nathaniel Hemingway and Alexander Hemingway, her sister Anne Vitalius, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was predeceased by her mother, father and husband Joseph and siblings Catherine Trickey, Margaret Ryan and Jeanne Henrikson.

A private viewing will be for family an hour before funeral mass.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass that will be held at 10:00 am on Monday October 10, 2022 in St. Jude’s the Apostle Church, 43 Brookside Ave. Wynantskill. Burial to follow Evergreen Cemetery.
