Brunswick – Erik J. Harris, 46, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2026. Born and raised in Troy, Erik was a man whose kindness, faith, and devotion to his family touched countless lives.
Erik was a proud graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1998, and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He went on to become the owner and operator of Harris Construction in Brunswick, where his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication earned the respect of his clients, colleagues, and friends.
Erik loved traveling and making memories with those he loved most, especially on Caribbean cruises and trips to Clearwater. He was a hardworking man who deeply cherished his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than cheering from the sidelines at his children’s sporting events, where he was their biggest supporter and proudest fan. Whether he was coaching, encouraging, or simply showing up, his presence was a constant source of love and strength.
An avid fan of the New York Knicks, New York Yankees, and New York Jets, Erik enjoyed following his favorite teams and sharing that passion with family and friends. Above all, he was a faithful man whose belief in God guided his life and whose generosity, compassion, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew him.
Erik is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth; his cherished children, Gisele, Carter, and Vada Harris; his loving parents, Eugene and Erin Harris; his sister, Krystal Harris; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Chance.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill.
