Frank "Buddy" J. Cline

Troy-Frank “Buddy” Cline 77, passed away on February 7, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in the presence of his beloved son, Victor and cherished daughter in law, Megan Cline.

Born and raised in Troy, he was the son to the late Victor J. Cline and Elizabeth McDermott Cline and the loving husband to the late Savilla Burr Cline, she died in 1981.

Frank graduated from Troy High School, he worked for Bendix Corp in Green Island. 

In addition to his son Victor and daughter in law Megan, he is survived by his treasured grandchildren Caleb Cline and Alyssa French, his cherished sister Dawn Armsby, nieces Tara (James) Biondo, and Victoria (Doug Dickinson) Armsby, his nephew and Godson Leland “Trey” Armsby III; also survived by several great nieces and nephews; several cousins, including Tracy Murray, with whom he shared a special closeness. 

Buddy was predeceased by his mother, father and his beloved wife Savilla, and later by longtime partner Gertrude “Trudy” Klein; and prized brother in law Leland Armsby Jr.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday February 11, 2021 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY. Funeral mass 10:00 am on Friday at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’ Cemetery, Troy. Please note that social distancing, masks and occupancy limitations in the funeral home and church are required. Funeral arrangements are in the care of John H. Clinton Funeral Home now located at Wynantskill Funeral Home.
