Geraldine "Geri" (Wilson) Ryan

Geraldine “Geri” Ryan, 87 passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, she was the daughter to the late Clifford Wilson and Alice Lewis Wilson, and the loving wife to the late James P. Ryan Sr., he died in 2006.

Geri graduated from Averill Park High School, class of 1949, she retired from Gurley Precision Instruments in Troy after 20 years of service.

She was involved with the Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts served as a den mother, Spring Avenue Little League and played Bobby’s Apple Annie’s Softball.

Geri is survived by her daughters Christine Ryan Wells (Richard) of Averill Park, Kathleen Ryan Alber (Robert Jr) of Troy, Carol Ryan Seneta of Scotia and Kelly Ryan DelSignore (Scott) of Troy, her eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson, her son in law Robert Ziter, her daughter in law Jane Bisset Ryan Shepard, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Geri was predeceased by her mother, father, husband, her children Sharon Ryan Ziter, James P. Ryan Jr., and Gerard Ryan, her siblings Alice Julyan, Ronald Wilson and Carol Wilson.

Family and friends are invited from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday June 25, 2018 at Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY 12198. Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Troy.
