Jacqueline J. Smith

Jacqueline J. Smith, 63, passed away on September 16, 2024 at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.  She was the daughter of the late M. Joan Norman of Wynantskill and a 1979 graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy.

Jackie was beloved and will be dearly missed by her daughters Christina (Nick) Ericson and Soraya Mateos, her grandchildren Luke Ericson, Esther Ericson, and Diego Mateos, her sister Glenda (Walter) Milam, nieces Ginger, Samantha, and Shaina Milam, and nephew Austen (Emily) Milam, her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to her mother, Jacqueline was predeceased by her infant daughter Jessica. 

Jackie will be remembered for her love of her family and pets, her sense of humor, and her great laugh.  She weathered her life’s ups and downs with great strength until it was time for her to rest.  She was a good, kind person.

 A private graveside ceremony was held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill, with Deacon Bob Sweeney officiating.
