Janis M. (Martin) Ghee

Wynantskill- Janis M. Ghee, 86, passed away on June 4, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital. Janis was born on April 15, 1935 in Poughkeepsie to Kenneth L. Martin and Mary E. Nodraski Martin; and was the loving wife to the late Howard E. Ghee, who passed away in 2019.

Janis worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Louis Lipman in Poughkeepsie, and also volunteered at Samaritan Hospital in various roles for many years.

Janis is survived by her loving sons Howard E. Ghee, Jr. (Albert Chin) of Wood Bridge, VA, and Terry (Lisa) Ghee of St. Leonard, MD, and her grandchildren Maureen and Aidan Ghee.

Janis was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday June 9, 2021 at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 am at the funeral home for procession to cemetery. Private burial will follow.

The family wishes to thank with gratitude, the many kind neighbors who gladly helped her, as well as her home aid Denise.
