Poestenkill-Joseph A. Beehm, Jr. 87 passed away on June 11, 2022 at the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Center.
Born in Troy, he was the son to the late Joseph A. Beehm, Sr and Evelyn Castle Beehm and the loving husband to Elaine Jolivette Beehm.
Joseph served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. For many years Joe worked as a machinist for Teledyne Gurley Corp., now known as Gurley Precision Instruments.
Joe was an avid car racing enthusiast, he loved his family and always enjoyed family outings.
In addition to his loving wife, Elaine, he is survived by his daughters Mariam (Reinaldo) Santana of Cropseyville and Alane (Scott) Kempter of Schroon Lake, his grandchildren Leigh (Ray) Hemingway, Juan Santana and Elizabeth Kempter, his great grandchildren Nathaniel Hemingway and Alexander Hemingway, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by his mother, father and siblings Frances Brock, George Beehm and Edmund Beehm.
A private viewing will be for family an hour before funeral mass.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass at 10:00 am on Thursday June 16, 2022 at St. Jude The Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
