Judith Haydn age 84 of Poestenkill (previously resided in Center Brunswick), passed peacefully at home on January 20th, 2025.
Judith was born in Menands, to Kenneth J. Carl and Pauline (Sprouser) Carl.
She was a graduate of Watervliet High School, class of 1957. After raising two children, she went on to work at Howie’s Jewelers for many years. Judith then pursued a degree in Nursing at Maria College, graduating in 1992.
She went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career as a registered nurse. She worked at Samaritan Hospital, St. Peter’s and Seton homecare and The Eddy Visiting nurses, until her retirement in 2016.
She loved vacationing with her family, playing the piano and gardening.
Judith was the beloved wife of the late Donn W. Haydn; and the loving mother of two daughters; Lisa (Tom) Blake of Poestenkill and Kimberly (Late Robert) Wagner of Pittstown. She was a loving grandmother to Thomas Blake, Ashlen (Andrew) Oligney and Haydn Wagner. She was fortunate to become a great grandmother and was affectionately known as GiGi to Blake Oligney. She was a beloved sister to Patrcia (Robert) Godell, of Haynersville, Joyce Brimmer of Pittstown, Kendy (Edward) Cox, of Menands. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Private Services will be held at Wynantskill Funeral Home.
Judith requested donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
