Kathleen Casey Mazzrillo (75), of Averill Park, NY, passed away peacefully at Samaritan
Hospital in Troy, NY on February 23rd with Judi and Bobby Paul (her sister and brother-
in-law) by her side.
She was born on January 9 th , 1951 at St Mary’s Hospital in Troy, NY and graduated from
Catholic Central High School Class of 1969.
Kathleen was the daughter of the late Wm. Eugene and Eileen (Murray) Casey.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Mazzrillo Sr, and sister and
brother-in-law, Judi and Bobby Paul.
She is also survived by Nephews, Zachary (Tracy) Paul, Brian Paul, and niece Sarah
Paul along with Grandnephews/Nieces Casey, Ethan, Summer, and Daren Paul and
Evan Clair.
Additionally, Lisa Paul and many cousins and extended family.
The family would like to extend a special “THANK YOU!” to Kathleen’s cousin Joyce
Harris for her knowledge and kind assistance throughout Kathleen’s recent illness.
Kathleen is further survived by Ken Sr’s family to include Step-children, Nancy (William
P) DeSapio, Kenneth Mazzrillo Jr (Carrie), and Maxwell Fascigilione and Grandchildren
Casey and William K (Mary) DeSapio and Garrett and Connor Mazzrillo.
Trustco Bank was where Kathleen started her career and she retired from the Roman
Catholic Diocese of Albany.
Kathleen and Ken have lived in Averill Park together for 30 years enjoying country life
and feeding every local critter in need from the wildlife to local strays.
Kathleen was very proud of her Irish heritage, having visited Ireland twice during her
life, and spoke of these trips fondly.
She enjoyed spending time with family at Cossayuna Lake, attending classic car shows
with her husband, traveling, watching classic movies, and working on the preservation
of historic headstones.
Kathleen was known for her wealth of knowledge. Her incredible memory allowed her
to retain facts about almost any subject. Her sister’s husband would tell her to call
Kathleen to answer anything that no one else would know. She always had the
answers!
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Monday March 2 nd from 3-7PM
at the American Legion Post 1489. 111 Main Avenue in Wynantskill. Kathleen will have
a private Internment at her family’s discretion.
