Kathleen Printsky Obituary

On December 31, 2024, Kathleen Printsky, 72, passed away peacefully after long illness. She was the daughter of the late Anthony S. Printsky and Helen Normile Printsky of Wynantskill. Kathleen was born in Cambridge NY but resided for most of her life in Troy and Wynantskill. Kathleen was a graduate of Averill Park high school. Kathleen was a very loving and caring woman, and she loved getting to spend time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She also got great joy in taking care of her two cats, who she adored. Kathleen was also a hard worker who held many jobs over the years, but the two most significant ones to her that she enjoyed very much was working at Fay’s and Moe’s/Sodexo both in Troy.

Kathleen is survived by her son Anthony J. (Rebecca) Printsky of Wynantskill, her three Grandchildren Eric (Kyla) Carroll of St. Johnsbury VT, and Esther and Eva Printsky of Wynantskill, as well as four Great Grandchildren, Oliver, Easton, Hudson, and Hazel Carroll all of St. Johnsbury VT. Kathleen is also survived by her brother Joseph (Connie) Printsky of Wynantskill, her sister Mary (Francis) Fabian of The Villages, FL, her nieces Megan (Dave) Printsky and Michelle (Mike) Halloran and several other Great nieces and nephews. Last but not least, she is also survived by her two cats Cushy and Diamond who were her furry companions for the last several years.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was also predeceased by her longtime partner, Steve Danaher of Troy. The family would like to thank Dr. Makenzi Evangelist, Rensselaer County Dept. of Aging, Meals on Wheels, and the Staff at St. Jude’s Senior Apartments.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday Jan 5th at the Wynantskill Funeral home from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Jude’s in Wynantskill on Monday the 6th at 10am followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hudson Mohawk Humane Society.
