On Thursday, April 21, 2022, Kevin Patrick Munn, 38, died suddenly, the innocent victim in a two-car accident.
The loss is devastating for Kevin’s strong circle of family and friends, who will forever miss his smile and good nature. Known for his intellect, humor and kindness, Kevin was always ready to jump into a thoughtful conversation on current events, or jump in the pool to toss his nephew and younger cousins. If there was a new scientific development in the headlines, he could explain it; and somehow talking with Kevin always included laughter.
Kevin is survived by his parents Kathleen (Castle) Munn & John Munn, brother, Christopher Munn, sister-in-law, Laura Munn, beloved nephew, Johann Munn, and grandmother, Dorothea V. Castle. Kevin will also be forever remembered by his close-knit circle of numerous aunts, uncles, ‘older cousins’, ‘younger cousins’ and friends. We will all miss his big hugs.
A graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Kevin went on to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduating in 2006. He worked as a Project Engineer at RW Gate Manufacturing Company Inc., in Troy, NY; his family would like to thank Andy Ross and the RW team for their kindness during this difficult time.
Kevin was an avid gamer, member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, and LARPER known for his creativity, wit, good nature and sense of humor.
Kevin has left us far too soon due to the choices made by another. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.), St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Rensselaer Land Trust.
A beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Kevin’s life will be celebrated Thursday, April 28th at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY 12198, visiting hours 3pm-7pm.
