Kristin Linsey Obituary

Kristin S. Linsey passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 after being diagnosed with cancer just a month earlier. She was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on June 30, 1967, the daughter of Doris S. (Hische) Brossy and the late Charles A. Brossy. Krissi grew up in Fords, New Jersey.

The family moved to Readfield, Maine in 1977 where she attended Maranacook Community School, Class of 1985. During the summer of 1985 she was offered a Federal Junior Fellowship Program position with the US Geological Survey in Augusta. She continued working for the USGS during vacations and summers while attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After graduating in 1989 with a B.S in Geology, she began working as a full time Hydrologist in Augusta, eventually transferring to the Albany/Troy, NY offices in 1991 and co-authoring multiple national water use reports. Her current role was Project Manager for the effort to modernize the national USGS water-use database. Her tenure with the USGS totaled 38 years.

Krissi enjoyed playing strategy board games as well as computer games. She enjoyed all things Disney, was an avid pin trader, a Figment (of the imagination) fan, and often visited Walt Disney World and Disneyland.  Krissi was a member of Love Lutheran Church in East Greenbush, NY. She was generous and supportive to so many of her friends and colleagues. She is sorely missed and will live forever in our hearts.

Kristin was divorced and was sharing a home with her mother. She is also survived by her brother Eric Brossy de Dios (Alicia) of Monterey Park, California and their children Tristan (Aimee) of Edinburgh, Scotland and Camilia of Los Angeles.
