Margaret E. Alaskey

Mrs. Margaret Ellen (Osterhout) Alaskey 69, of 16 Woodward Avenue Troy NY, passed away peacefully at home on 15 July 2023.

Ellen was born and resided in Troy NY her whole life. She was the daughter of the Late John J. Osterhout Sr. and the Late Helen F. (Ryan) Osterhout.

She was educated in the Troy City Public School System, she was a worshiper at Hope United Methodist Church, and an active member of the Support Group at Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. She enjoyed time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling to the beaches of Virginia, and North Carolina, gardening, and cooking.

She is survived by her two sons Joseph F. Alaskey Jr. and Fvalen of Currituck NC, Jeffery C. Alaskey and Stacey of Brunswick NY, and five grandchildren Erin, Emily, Jonathan, Hannah, and Brilyn and her three brothers John J. Osterhout Jr. and Lynne of Keene NH, Robert Osterhout and Jean of Nashville TN, and James G. Osterhout and Donna of Troy NY, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to join us at a Memorial service on Saturday August 12th from 11am to 1pm at the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at 566 Hoosick Rd. Troy NY 12180.
