Margaret "Peggy" (Graber) Paul

Margaret “Peggy” V. Paul, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 1, 2024, at The Albany Medical Center.  Peggy was born to the late Charles and Eleanor (Halligan) Graber in Troy, NY on April 5, 1947.  She was the third oldest child of seven siblings: the late Ronald Graber, Kathleen (Butch) Hart, the late Phyllis (Ronald) Davis, the late Linda Pelland, Myra Seney and Michael (Elisa)
Graber.  She is survived by her son David (Kathy) Paul, daughter Antoinette McFarland, and her adored grandchildren Alyssa and Lauren Paul, Cierra, Noah, and Mya McFarland.  She was predeceased by her niece Kristin Hart.  She is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

After graduating from Lansingburgh High School, Peggy attended nursing school in Albany, NY.  She enjoyed years of providing nursing skills to many throughout her long career, during which she worked for many doctors, including Dr. Bhattu, Dr. Agrawal, Dr. Mamdani, Dr. Youngelman of Community Care Physicians, and at health care facilities such as St. Louise House, Rosewood Gardens and Leonard Hospital.  Peggy earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice while working full time and raising her children as a single Mom, bringing her a great deal of pride.

Peggy loved being surrounded by family, whether it be at the beach, the casino, traveling with her sisters and friends, holiday gatherings or simply sitting down for dinner.  She adored her grandchildren and was always interested in their goals, desires and accomplishments.  She was an avid animal lover, especially of cats (Piper, Callie, and Tripp), finding solace in their company.  She continually donated to many organizations that provided care and assistance to animals.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Peggy’s family on Friday December 6, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill, NY 12198.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Avenue, Troy, NY 12180, with Father John Yanas officiant.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
