Marian S. Houle

Johnsonville, NY – Marian S. Houle, 74, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2022, at Albany Medical Center Hospital, Albany, NY, from complications of a recent medical procedure. Born in Hartford, CT on August 20, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Rosario P. and Dorothy V. Sperry Houle, Sr. She was raised and educated in Watervliet, NY.  She was a Keyboard Specialist employed by and retired from the New York State Office of Temporary Disability Assistance in Albany, NY.                                                                                                                                                 

Marian enjoyed searching for the best retail deals, cooking, crafting with her sister, “Red”, treasure hunting at local yard sales with her sister, Janet, and thrift store shopping with her eldest granddaughter, Brianne. She really enjoyed family camping trips and one of her favorite vacation spots was in Maine. She was the longtime companion of Kent F. Morrissey (also of Johnsonville, NY) and she loved to be his co-pilot on his beautiful red Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. Her puppies, Molly and Dolly brought her great happiness and she loved them very much!                         

She was the loving Mother of her children Lori Dunham of Texas, Brian L. Houle (wife: April) of New York and Brad L. Perreault (wife: Tara) of Virginia; the dearest Grandmother to Brianne L. Houle and Brian A. D. Houle of New York, and Charlotte Perreault of Virginia. She is survived by her sister, Janet Risatti of Massachusetts, and Donald Houle, Sr. of New York, along with many nieces and nephews.                                                           

She is preceded in death by many siblings including Dorothy V. Houle Merrow, Rosanna Burch, Rosario “Butch” Houle, Sr., Beverly Farnham, Gene Houle, Dianna Fagan, Sandra Malave, Janice “Red” Deo, Robert Houle, June Partridge, and infants/toddlers: Lorraine, Debra, Joseph, Charles, Peter, Paul, Adrian, and James Houle.                                                                                                                                                                           

 Relatives and friends may call at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wyantsville, NY on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 10am. The interment will be in the Tomhannock Cemetery, Pittstown, NY.                       Written endearingly by her eldest son, Brian L. Houle.
