Troy-Nicholas S. Grinaldo, 74 passed away peacefully at home on November 19th, 2021.
Born on December 16th, 1946, he was the son of the late Nicholas Grinaldo and Virginia Pettgnelli Grinaldo and the loving husband to Margo Grinaldo.
Nicholas retired from Freihofer’s.
He was an honorable member of The United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968. During this time, he was deployed twice to Vietnam. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with two campaign stars, Vietnam Campaign medal with device, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He was a long-standing member of motorcycle clubs with his Harley-Davidson, and he was a member of the American Legion Post 1489.
In addition to his wife Margo, he is survived by his two children Steve (Lorie) Slauson and Wendy (Arthur Burl) Slauson, his four grandchildren Kristal (Tarry) Landrigan, Nathan (Emily) Emery, Madison Slauson and Stevie Budesheim, his four great grandchildren Colton, Liam, Emmaleigh and Ivan Landrigan, his sister Virginia Ryan, also survived by many others who adored him dearly.
Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday November 22, 2021 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 am on Tuesday at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
