Patricia A. (Moore) Foley

Troy-Patricia A. “Patti” (Moore) Foley passed away to eternal rest on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Troy, Patti was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Curren) Moore and the wife of the late Thomas J. Foley. Patti attended Troy schools and was employed by the Rensselaer County Health Department for many years prior to her retirement.  Patti enjoyed vacationing with her beloved Tom at Cape Cod and was a member of the Sons of Erin in Cape Cod.  Some of their favorite places were Captain Parkers, the Irish Village and Seagull Beach.  She had so much fun on the trips to Vermont, especially in the Fall.  Her favorite sports teams were the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the New York Yankees.  In her earlier days, Patti loved to dance, roller skate and play the piano.  Her favorite passion was decorating for every season.  Everyone Patti met loved her, especially her caretakers at the Eddy.  She loved helping others and people would marvel at how she lit up a room with her smile.  She was kind and a woman of great faith.  She said her rosary (and three hail Mary’s) every day and watched the Mass on TV when she could no longer attend church. Patti had one sister, Mary (Moore) Milos, who she loved, cherished and absolutely adored.  They spoke every day until Mary’s passing in October 2014. Patti leaves behind her devoted niece, Mary Ann Fitzgerald and husband Warren (Niskayuna), John Milos III (East Greenbush), Joseph Milos (Sue - died December 2019) Poestenkill, Christoper (Butch) Milos (died January 2015) (Amy) and Timothy Milos (Melissa) of Colonie, and several great nieces and nephews.   She also had several cousins whom she cherished and who predeceased Patti. There will be no viewing or services.  The burial will be private.
