Patricia A. Miller, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026 with family, at the Heritage House in Troy. Born in Watervliet on April 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Thomas “Wink” and Viola “Tootie” McClay Evers. A lifelong resident of Troy, Pat grew up in the Beaman Park neighborhood, where she formed many of the friendships that would accompany her throughout her life.
Pat was a devoted communicant of St. Paul the Apostle and St. Michael the Archangel Churches. She enjoyed an active social life including Eastside Seniors, Wynantskill Seniors, and especially cherished her Sunday domino group. Her friendships were deep and enduring—some dating back to kindergarten and many others formed during her years at Catholic High. She loved Cape Cod and vacationed there for many years with her family. Among her proudest personal accomplishments was learning to drive at the age of 75.
She first worked at Young Folks in Troy, then did bookkeeping for the Troy Record for many years and later retired from NYS Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther’s office where she worked as an administrative assistant.
She was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late William Miller; the devoted mother of William J. (Victoria) Miller of North Greenbush and the late Linda J. Keenan, who passed in 2011; and the mother‑in‑law of Gregg Keenan of Brunswick. Pat was the proud Nana of Amanda Psarianos, Danielle (Tom) Frokedal, Kyle (Samantha) Keenan, Mackenzie (Alex) Champitto, Thomas (Andrea) Miller, and Katherine (Karim Shama) Keenan. She took special pride in her 11 great‑grandchildren: Carter, Violet, Griffin, Emma, Ella, Nora, Levi, Lacey, Luca, George, and Ramy.
She is also survived by her sister, Linda (John) Sartoris of Clifton Park, and was predeceased by her brother, Thomas (Emily) Evers of West Bend, Wis. Pat leaves behind her niece, Jennifer Evers Rose of Jackson, Wis., and nephews Christopher Sartoris and James Jackson of Clifton Park.
