Paula J. (Ruotolo) Karius

Paula J. Ruotolo Karius, 78 passed away on October 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter to the late Paul Ruotolo and Catherine Fazioli Ruotolo, and the loving wife to Robert J. Karius.

Paula graduated from Averill Park High School. She worked at UniFirst Uniform Services in Watervliet as a supervisor for many years. Paula was also a 25-year member of the Wynantskill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She was also a huge New York Yankee’s fan and lover of the slot machines.

In addition to her husband Robert, she was survived by her sons Robert N. Karius and Dean M. (Terri) Karius, and her sisters Catherine Baldwin and Louise Cassino, along with many nieces and nephews.

Paula was predeceased by her siblings Anthony (Donna) Ruotolo, Paul Ruotolo, Marie (William) Castle and Vickie (Al) Gilooly.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral mass at 11:00 am, all on Wednesday October 30, 2024 all at St. Jude The Apostle Church, 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy.  Memorial donations in memory of Paula may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 www.mohawkhumane.org/donate.
