Richard Fenton Obituary

Richard L. Fenton, 61 passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Born in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Patricia and Richard Fenton. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lisa Fenton.

He is survived by his children Brett Fenton, Shelby Fenton, Hayley Fenton and Louie Fenton, his fiancé Lena Herbert, her children Jenna (Cal) Zaborowski and Amanda (Steven) Hartman, her grandchildren Melody and Milo Zaborowski, his sister Susan Moscatello and his faithful canine companions Red, Toby, Maya and Opal. Richard served in the US Army National Guard, he was a retired Corrections Officer for the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office. Richard had a love for sports and one of his greatest joys in life was being involved in his children's sporting careers as both a coach and their biggest supporter throughout the years. Richard also had a love of traveling, especially going on cruises, country music and was an avid Seahawks fan. More than anything Richard loved spending time with his family and faithful companions.

Family and friends are invited from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with service at 2:00 pm all on Saturday January 4, 2025 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Burial will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
