Richard T. Roseberger, Sr., 65, passed away on October 25, 2023 at his home in Wynantskill, NY. Richard was born on May 5, 1958 in Troy NY to Robert and Shirley (Gailey) Roseberger.
Richard grew up in Wynantskill, NY and graduated from Troy High School. Always a hard worker, Rich began at a young age delivering newspapers on his bicycle for Troy Record newspaper. He went on to work for Montgomery Wards, Stewarts, CMP Industries and ended his career with Bimbo Bakeries.
Richard was a simple, humble man who loved his family, was a devoted father, a supportive husband, loyal friend and always willing to help out a neighbor when needed.
He had a love for motorcycles, and at the age of 21, toured the country on his ’78 Yamaha XS-11. He was a history buff, enjoyed watching his favorite baseball team, the Yankees, taking day trips, and doing endless projects in the yard. He could sing off key, make you laugh with his goofy sense of humor and recall phone numbers, license plate numbers, dates to specific events off the top of his head and know the directions to anywhere you needed to go.
Rich is survived by his wife, Janet, his sons David (Elizabeth) Roseberger, Richard, Roseberger, Jr., Benjamin Roseberger, daughters Lauren Roseberger and Jennifer Silkou, step son Douglas (Fallon) Shumway, brothers Daniel Roseberger and Robert Roseberger, 4 grandsons and 5 granddaughters.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Shirley Roseberger, and his brother Douglas Roseberger.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the First Reformed Church in Wynantskill from 12 pm to 1 pm, service at 1 pm, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
