Robert is survived by his mother Elizabeth Burns of Wynantskill and his brother James Burns of Defreestville.

Predeceased by his father Robert F. Burns, Sr.

He worked for the Wynantskill Union Free School District in the maintenance department. 

Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing.
