Robert A. Dorney

Robert A. Dorney, 90, of Troy, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late William J. and Amelia Miorin Dorney Sr. and brother of the late William J. Dorney Jr. 

Bob attended Troy High School and had a long career at Cunning's Shoe Store and Cooper's Shoe Store before accomplishing over 30 years as an employee of New York State, retiring at 88 years old. 

Bob always saw the good in people and was known for his generous soul. He loved the harness tracks and was a devout Roman Catholic.

Bob is survived by several cousins and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N Lake Ave, Troy. A calling hour will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
