Troy-Robert L. Pasinella, 88 passed away on December 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Troy; he was the son to the late Louis Pasinella and Elizabeth McAvoy Pasinella and the loving husband of 60 years to Flora Mulinio Pasinella.
Robert graduated from LaSalle Institute, class of 1952 and the New York State Police Academy, class of 1961. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958 he was stationed with the 508th M.P. in Regensburg, Germany and he was called up to active duty again in 1961 to 1962 during the Berlin Crisis. He became a Troy Police Officer in 1955 and retired in 1979 as Sgt. of the Traffic Division. After his retirement he worked for the United States Postal Service, promoted to Personnel Supervisor, retiring in 1992.
Robert was a former commissioner for Troy Housing Authority, Sgt. at Arms for the New York Senate, and a member of Rensselaer County Board of Elections. He also served as Administrative Assistant to the Rensselaer County G.O.P. He enjoyed family trips to Florida, Turning Stone and Saratoga Casinos. He also enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and Doris Day and watching his NY Yankees. Above all, he thoroughly enjoyed his family Sunday dinners.
In addition to his wife Flora, he is survived by his children Barbara (David) Farley of Wynantskill, Robert (Courtney) Pasinella, Jr, of Wynantskill, Ann Marie (Mark) Tallarino of Troy and Lisa (Saverio) Parrottino of Wynantskill, his grandchildren David (Ashley) Farley, Jr., Nicole (Nick) Mathison, Joann Burridge (Matt Zeglen), Micheline Pasinella, Elizabeth Burridge, Christina Parrottino, Sophia Pasinella, Joseph Parrottino and Luca Pasinella, his great grandchildren Ryan, Connor and Kelsey Farley, his brother-in-law Steve (Beverly) Mulinio, his close nephew Joseph Albarelli, also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was predeceased by his siblings Marie Albarelli, Joseph Pasinella, James Pasinella, Elizabeth Roach and Dolores Pignone.
