Robert E. Price

Rensselaer-Robert E. Price, 82 died Tuesday November 8, 2022.

Robert was born in Poughkeepsie; he was the son to the late Ernest Price and Beverly Wygant DiPompeii.

He served proudly in The United States Army as a paratrooper during the Korean Conflict, He worked for the New York State Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer before transitioning to a Counselor. Robert was a passionate supporter of local politics, he was involved in the Salvation Army, he was a past member of the Troy Elks, and past Board President of the Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley.  Robert was genuine, loyal, and passionate about his beliefs.  He navigated life's challenges being kind and tough and always gave his best effort.  

He is survived by his wife Phyllis LaFayette Price, his children Thomas (Michele) Price of Schoharie, Wesley (Nicole White) Price of Wynantskill, Lauralea Ingham of Niverville, Daryl (Joseph) Hallenbeck of Niverville, Lynette (Thomas) Sledge of North Carolina, his sister Patricia, his17 grandchildren, his 17 great grandchildren, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his Mother, Father he is predeceased by his Daughter Deanna LaPier, his Brothers Gary Price and Donnie Price.
