Robert Coulombe “Bob” 76, passed away on April 27, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn surrounded by his loving family after a brave and courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born in Fort Kent, Maine, he was the son of the late George Coulombe and Nora Dumond Coulombe and raised by Wilford and Nora Cyr.
Robert served in the United States Army from 1961-1963. He was a general contractor and he owned and operated City & Country Construction in Averill Park. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, hunting, dancing, his trips to Boonville and playing Texas Holdem Poker with his weekly Tuesday night friends. Bob was an arm-wrestler, who competed in many tournaments winning various state championships. He was an avid New England Patriots fan, but most of all he loved his family. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Ann Marie (Mayba) Coulombe of Wynantskill, his devoted sons Danny (Whitney) Coulombe of Tennessee and Sean Coulombe of Florida, his cherished grandsons Joseph Coulombe and Cael Coulombe, his dear brothers Maurice (Lucille) Coulombe, Louie (Margie) Coulombe and Larry (Mary) Coulombe, also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the Community Hospice and St. Peter’s Hospice for their care and compassion given to Bob.
