My little brother RJ was a real-life superhero.
Born with challenges that would’ve shaken even the strongest, RJ lived with a radiant strength that inspired everyone who knew him. Though developmentally disabled, his spirit was never limited. In fact, he beat so many odds that we often joked Spider-Man had some serious competition — and judging by the wall art and posters in his room, RJ believed it too.
RJ had a smile that could light up an entire room. It wasn’t just bright — it was pure, unfiltered joy. The kind that reminded you to slow down and be grateful for the simple moments. He laughed loudly, loved deeply, and lived bravely. He didn’t need words to teach us the greatest lessons about patience, resilience, and love.
He was the heart of our family — our youngest, our fighter, our reminder of what truly matters. He was proudly and lovingly cared for and cherished by our father, Ronald Niles Sr., who stood beside him through every milestone and challenge. RJ is survived by me, his big sister Brittani, and our brothers CJ and Brandon — each of us holding a piece of him in our hearts forever.
Though our mother passed in 2023, there is no doubt she welcomed RJ into heaven with open arms. She loved him immensely, and I know they’re together now — smiling that same bright smile that runs in both of them.
RJ’s life wasn’t easy, but he lived it with courage. He showed us that strength doesn’t always look like muscles or loud voices — sometimes, it’s in the quiet will to keep going, to keep smiling, and to love without conditions.
Rest peacefully, baby brother. Your story, your light, and your love will never be forgotten.
With all the love in the world,
Your sister,
Brittani
