Ruth Nichols

Ruth Nichols-entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January17, 2024 at Rosewood Nursing Home.

Ruth was born in Vernon, Vt on September, 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Claude F. Tenney and Gladys (Spring) Tenney. She was raised in Vernon and Saxtons River, Vt and graduated from Bellows Falls Union High School in 1952.

On June 14th, 1952, she married her loving husband William H. Nichols. They were married 66 years when he passed away in 2018.

Ruth was a member of the Schodak Seniors and Poestenkill Seniors where she also held the position of Secretary. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill.

Ruth is survived by her three sons, Larry (Josie) Nichols of Springfield, VT, Walter (Ellie) Nichols of Myrtle Beach, SC, David (Sue) Nichols of North Greenbush, NY and one daughter Heidi (Randy) Diver of Nassau, NY & Oklahoma City, Ok. Nine Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. A sister Beatrice Tenney of North Hollywood, CA, a brother in law Raymond (Margie) Nichols of Southbury, Ct and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two brothers Earnest and Melvin Tenney, three sisters Myrtle Kuusela, Marion Budzik and Dorothy Atomanuk and her grandson Bradley Nichols.
