Stephen D. Coonradt

Stephen D. Coonradt, 76 passed away on June 2, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy, he was the son to the late Loveman Coonradt and Alma Keefe Coonradt and the loving husband to Carol (Canam) Coonradt.

Stephen served proudly in The United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was an avid golfer, NASCAR fan, enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting camp family and his Stewart’s coffee club. 

He worked and retired from Ryder Truck Rental in Albany as a truck mechanic and Heim’s Auto Care. He is a life member of the American Legion Post 1489, V.F.W of Poestenkill, VVA and Defreestville FD. 

In addition to his wife Carol of 50 years, he is survived by his children Donald (Emily) Coonradt and Kelly (Greg Piche) Coonradt, his granddaughter Aubrey, his sister Kathryn (Stewart) Clements, his sister-in-law Kathleen Durivage (Matt Heim), Courtney (Ryan) Kendrick and other nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Family and friends are invited to call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Thursday June 8, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wynantskill.
