Grafton-Teresa Marie Swider, age 47, born Teresa Marie Boepple on March 15, 1971 in Little Falls NY died on May 5, 2018 peacefully in her home in Grafton NY surrounded by loving family members.
Teresa was born in Little Falls NY where she graduated from Little Falls High School, received an AS in Engineering Science from Mohawk Valley Community College and a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. She was a licensed Professional Engineer and eventually became the Acting Director for the New York State Department of Health's Bureau of Water Supply Protection in Albany NY.
Teresa loved her Catholic religion and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill, NY. Teresa loved being a mom and helping out others, hiking in the woods around her home and kayaking in Dunham Reservoir.
Teresa loved family time including vacations on the ocean/along the beach especially in Mexico. Teresa was a member of the American Water Works Association and volunteered at local homeless shelters during the holiday season.
Teresa leaves behind her husband Rob and two daughters Gabby and Marisa as well as her parents Ruth and Frank Boepple, sisters Kathy Fox, Gina Pereira, and brother Eli Boepple and their families, her in laws Robert and Diane Swider and sister-in law Suzette Skowron and her family.
The family would like to thank all those who supported us over this last year. A special thank you to the Hospice staff that lovingly cared for Teresa in her final days.
The family would like you to join them to celebrate Teresa’s life, Calling hours 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill. Funeral mass at 9:30 am on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at church with Reverend Anthony Ligato officiating. Burial will follow at Eagle Mills Cemetery, Brunswick.
