Vincent J. Francese

Troy-Vincent J. Francese, 82 passed away on Saturday October 7, 2023 at the Van Rensselaer Manor.

Born in Troy, he was the son to the late Felice Francese and Eugenia Francese and the husband to the late Beatrice Bailey Francese.

Vincent attended St. Mary’s School and Catholic Central High School, class of 1959, he served in the United States Army active duty from 1963 to 1965 and in the reserves until 1969.

Vincent was a lifetime member of the Polish American Club, Watervliet Elks Lodge 1500, American Legion Post 1489, the Emerald Athletic Club, the Veterans of Lansingburgh #321, the Knights of Columbus #3394, the Crab Club #1954 and the VFW Post #729. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing darts, he was a member of the Emerald Club Golf League, he bowled at Green Island Lanes with his retired friends, he also bowled with J & M Mixer at Latham Bowl.

Vincent is survived by his step children Bonny (Peter) Lupe, Dennis (late Georgeanne, the later Elaine) Bailey, Van (Cher-ri) Bailey, Sharon (Michael) Ozimek and Doris (James) Goodman, his step grandchildren, his brother-in-law James Mosher, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, father and wife Beatrice, he was predeceased by his siblings Ignatius Francese, Francis Francese, Joseph Francese, Justine Francese, Rae Francese and Mary Mosher, his step daughters Janice (late Jack) Costello and Constance Newman.

Family and friends are invited and may call Sunday October 15, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Avenue, Wynantskill. Funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 am on Monday October 16, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Church 28 State Street, Troy with Reverend Richard Donovan officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
