Johnstown-It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mr. William Kennedy on October 27, 2022 at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a brief illness. William had been surrounded in his final days by his Lexington family. He was 70 years old
Bill, as he liked to be called, became part of our family in January of 2019 moving in to his new home at Rosewood. He came to us in 2019 from a nursing home in Lake Katrine. Bill quickly fit right in to the family as he was such a nice and easy-going man. He attended Kaleidoscope Day Hab and made many friends there are well. He loved to share his knowledge about United States history and especially loved to talk about the US Presidents. In addition to his serious side of sharing his love of history he had a great sense of humor. He loved telling jokes and teasing everyone. You were sure to smile after a conversation with Bill. He liked spending his free time going out to shop at TJ Maxx or Walmart and then grabbing a quick bite to eat at Burger King. Bill was such a pleasure to spend time with and he was so loved by everyone that knew him.
Though Bill had only been with the family since 2019, he had made such an impression on everyone and they felt like they knew him forever. We are truly so deeply sorry about the loss of Bill. Our gratitude to everyone that supported him over the years and a sincere thank you to those that supported him with love and kindness in his final days. Though he was not able to talk to you during that time he knew each of you were there and he was most certainly comforted to feel the love from each of you.
