William B. Mahoney Jr.

Wynantskill-William B. Mahoney, Jr. 81 passed away after a long illness on January 10, 2022 at the Eddy Village Green, Cohoes, NY.

Born in Troy on January 14, 1940, he was the son to the late William B. Mahoney, Sr. and Mary Long Mahoney and the loving husband to the late Kathleen A. Balzano Mahoney, she passed away in 2010.

William served in the United States Coast Guard from 1960 to 1967, he retired from Bendix Corporation in Green Island after 30 years, he also worked at Lasalle Institute as a grounds keeper. He enjoyed horseracing, football and traveling with family.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Gregory) Wyld of Ballston Spa, his siblings Mary P. Mahoney Testo of Wynantskill,  Thomas Mahoney of Wynantskill, he is also survived by several nephews, his niece and many great nephews.

In addition to his mother, father and wife Kathleen, he was predeceased by his brother Gerard E. Mahoney.

Family and friends are invited and may call from 10 AM-11 AM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill. Funeral mass will follow calling hours at 11 AM at the church. Burial will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
