William "Bill" E, Close

Wynantskill-William “Bill” Close, 73 passed away on March 31, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa, he was the son of Carl Close and Fannie Thompson Close and the loving husband of 42 years to Lulu Close (Anita).

Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his wife Lulu, he is survived by his brothers Carl (Alice) Close of South Carolina and David Close of Pennsylvania

Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday April 5, 2021 at Wynantskill Funeral Home 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:00 am at funeral home. Burial will follow St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy
